CENTRES OF EXCELLENCE
Nurturing focussed innovations in Critical Areas
C-CAMP has already established focused innovation programs in critical thematic areas such as Agriculture, Digital Health, Diagnostics, Antimicrobial Resistance/ One Health, Public Health, Bio for Climate and Biologics, chosen for their high impact potential and alignment with UN SDGs and National Missions. In the future, C-CAMP envisions establishing centres of excellence in other areas in need of urgent intervention such as maternal and child health, oncology and vaccines. The aim will be identifying, articulating and redressing gaps through cutting-edge technologies that are affordable, accessible, sustainable and leave no one behind.
We are also dedicating our efforts in certain high-impact thematic areas such as
We are poised to bring in the next green revolution by identifying critical gaps in agriculture and nurturing solutions to address them. Know more about our Agri Centre of Excellence
We are taking action on the huge threat posed by AMR and reducing AMR burden by amplifying R&D efforts in this space through One health approach. Know more about our Antimicrobial Resistance platform.
We are enabling development and adoption of digital technologies in healthcare to address the challenges of an increasing global population spread across remote areas, limited human resources and cost constraints. Know more about our Digital Health Platform
We enabled 1 million daily manufacturing of indigenous COVID diagnostic kits during the pandemic. Now we are attempting to do the same with infectious diseases. Know more about our Indigenisation of Diagnostics Programme
We are addressing the impact of climate change on society through bio-innovations that aim to reduce and capture carbon footprint, minimise fossil fuel consumption and, build more climate-resilient systems in agriculture and healthcare.
To establish India as a global leader in biomanufacturing, we have instituted focused centre of excellence to accelerate the development and production of biotherapeutics, including enzymes, monoclonal antibodies, and recombinant proteins.
